Hmm… That’s a bit harder here. Remeberance day is pretty muted, as if no-one really knows how to deal with it.
I hear you Andy. One of my profs from Augustine is married to a german lady. She talked about losing her brother in the Second World War, I thought it was sad that she lost her brother on the frontline but she couldn’t be proud of his sacrifice.
The first world war is a whole other story, there was no good guy in that war. Is that overshadowed by World War II though?
